Second Chances

Giving second chances,
I cast multiple glances,
Listening to my heart,
My mind must play it's part!

Determining my choice,
I exercise my voice,
Sniffing out troubles,
My nostrils will work in doubles!

Feeling my way through,
I have to be thorough,
Glimpsing every corner or nook,
My fear amounts with every look!

Treading quickly on thin glass,
I must be a very brave lass,
Slowing down my pace,
My efforts could be a futile race!

Filling myself with reservations,
I dread to bring it up in conversations,
Disappointments may result,
I must not see it as an insult!
